Heywood Library books a new reading group

Press release   •   Jun 19, 2014 14:00 BST

A brand new young people’s reading group has been set up in Heywood Library for people aged 11 and above.

The group will meet up to discuss their favourite reads, in all forms and styles. They will also be able to discuss their favourite books and magazine articles, try new stories as well as finding out about and contacting authors.

Councillor Neil Emmott, Cabinet Member for Corporate Services and Neighbourhoods, said:

“This new group is a great way for young people to find out about different types of reading. Reading forms have changed massively over the past few years and this group is showing the young people of the borough that there are many ways and forms to express yourself.”

The next meeting will be Saturday 21 June at Heywood Library from 11am – 12 noon, then meeting every four weeks afterwards.

There is no need to book, you can just turn up.
